For Harris, "Series 1A2" means the bipod has a solid, non-swiveling base. The "Series S" are bipods with bases that do swivel. With the exception of swiveling the two models are virtually identical. And they cost more. This model does not have leg notches. Note: "swivel" does not mean that once the firearm is mounted that the gun will move from left-to-right on the bipod. Harris' definition of swivel is that the legs of the bipod will adjust to uneven terrain. Retails for $129.95.
